The atmosphere is casual but at a recent dinner there, the food went well beyond expectations — a restaurant worth visiting whether or not staying at the hotel. Downstairs from the lobby, Bar Tenn is a comfortable place to grab coffee during the day and cocktails or wine in the evening. For a boutique hotel, the Holston House offers a great fitness center. There are multiple treadmills and bikes, plus a couple machines and a set of free weights. I’ve been much better the past several months about keeping an exercise regimen while traveling. I really appreciate well-equipped hotel gyms.

What I’m not sold on still is the use of barn doors for bathrooms.

The Holton was beautiful and the aroma when you walk in was inviting and relaxing. The room was beautiful and the view was so nice. I enjoy boutique hotels among the more “independent collection” brands offered by the major chains, and some of my most memorable stays have been within Hyatt’s Unbound Collection, Hilton’s Curio Collection, and Marriott’s Design Hotels. I’ve managed to check in extremely early to multiple Hyatt properties, but struck out at the Holston House. I’d feared this would be the case, arriving at a boutique hotel on New Year’s Day. The front desk took my number and assured they’d text me when the room was ready. I dropped my bags and headed out in search of a cup of coffee before walking to church, which filled the remainder of my morning.
The property is located at 118 7th Ave N in Nashville. The sofa bench at the end of the bed doubles as the desk area. It actually works rather well, and was more comfortable than I expected it would be at first glance. There is even an outlet included in the bed frame, adjacent to the sofa bench. I’d been modestly upgraded to a Holston House Nashville deluxe room.

Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.7 for a two-person trip. Cribs and extra beds aren't available at this property. Location was perfect, very nice place. Enjoyed the bar and restaurant as well. We are focused on connecting travelers to the most relevant deals.
The Holston House Nashville features a fitness center, a small meeting space, and a rooftop terrace with both a pool and bar. It was walking distance from Bridgestone Arena(which was the purpose of our trip). It was nice to be that close to so many things.
It took me a while to get to sleep, but I blame that on the time change and not the bed. Speaking of time, I couldn’t figure out how to turn off clock light. I ended up unplugging the whole thing. The award Category 5 Holston House was asking $334 after taxes for the night of January 1, 2023.
The use of an armoire rather than a closet by some modern hotels has grown on me. I actually hung up some of my shirts and my jackets, which is rare for a one-night stay. Fantastic location just a short walk from Broadway. You could walk to all the bars and restaurants on broadway. I like having the toilet separate from the shower.
